Unbreakable relationships

Do you sometimes ever become weary of all the brokenness that surrounds and permeates our lives? It’s exhausting. Broken relationships, tattered families, abandoned children, and hearts torn beyond repair? Many times, it is beyond our control. In our brokenness, it is easy to be enveloped in deep despair, sometimes only briefly, and other times despair stretches across great spans of time in our lives.  I want you to know that you are not alone.

Be encouraged. Your Father in heaven has established a relationship with you. He will not break it. He won’t abandon you. He won’t break your heart. He will not leave you alone, nor will he be the cause of your despair.

“I am the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.” Exodus 20:2 NLT

Previous to this scripture, the Lord addressed the Israelis and said ‘I am the Lord’ but starting in chapter 20, God declares that a relationship exists (due to their obedience and trust).  ~~ Pastor Chad Keeteman of The Gathering Place Church, 11-15-15.

I want to repeat this because it’s very important: Be encouraged. Your Father in heaven has established a relationship with you. He will not break it. He won’t abandon you. He won’t break your heart. He will not leave you alone, nor will he be the cause of your despair.

“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.” Psalms 73:26 NLT

I really like that ‘forever’ part. Blessings to you.
